Todd Fox Named February recipient of the Public Service Excellence Award (PSEA).

Recently (March 11), Premier David Burt and the Head of the Public Service, Dr. Derrick Binns recognized Mr. Todd Fox as the February recipient of the Public Service Excellence Award (PSEA).

The PSEA is a programme that recognizes outstanding achievement by Public Officers.

Mr. Fox has been highlighted for his exemplary work in the Department of Education as Principal for Francis Patton Primary School.

In his five years serving as principal, Mr. Fox has demonstrated his dedication to developing the future leaders of Bermuda. This is evidenced by his application of initiatives to inspire students to think beyond themselves, such as the Monthly Random Acts of Kindness recognition.

He also oversees the ‘The Leader in Me’ programme, which emphasizes a culture of student empowerment to unleash each child’s full potential through applying the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Mr. Fox is well-loved by staff and students for his charismatic and optimistic character.

He is often seen in classrooms, assisting teachers daily, as well as inside and outside of the building during recess, lunch breaks, and mornings upon arrival, interacting with students at every opportunity to ensure they are happy and safe.

Mr. Fox has worked tirelessly alongside teachers and parents throughout the pandemic to adhere to the numerous Government-mandated safety protocols. And his application of creative school-wide experiences has helped enhance the mental and emotional well-being of staff and students during these challenging times.

Premier Burt, said, “The role of an educator is one of the most fundamental to our society. It is a distinct pleasure to salute Mr. Fox’s passion and leadership. His commitment to excellence and to nurturing the whole child is inspiring.”

Head of the Public Service, Dr. Binns, said, “Our children are the country’s most important asset. We are so fortunate to have Mr. Fox who brings an innovative and solution-oriented approach to his role as Principal. It is obvious by the success of Francis Patton Primary, and his esteemed reputation among parents, staff, and students, that he is doing an exemplary job. It is my distinct pleasure, on behalf of myself and the Public Service Executive, to congratulate Mr. Fox on his outstanding service-delivery.”
