Todd family honored with Community Park Unveiling

C-29 PLP Member of Parliament, Zane Desilva, today unveiled a plaque naming the Raymond Castro-Todd Park in the area of C-29, Southampton East.

After years of effort and advocacy, this long-awaited tribute has finally come to pass.

Zane Desilva has been organizing a “Back to School” drive for 17 years, on the grounds of the Southampton Sports Club parking area this year  unveiled a new sign in honor of Raymond Castro-Todd, a community activist from the area.

The sign honors his contributions and the efforts of his family in the community. The MP acknowledges the persistent efforts of Flip Todd, Ray Castro-Todd’s son, who advocated for the sign, as well as the help from “Colonel the hon. David Burch who helped to unveil the new park.”
