Throne Speech will introduce Uniformed Services Cadet Training Programme for young Bermudians

The public is advised that the Convening of the Legislature will take place tomorrow (Nov. 3), on the Cabinet Lawn, where Her Excellency the Governor, Rena Lalgie will set out the Government’s legislative agenda for the upcoming year. The formal proceedings get underway at 10.30 a.m.

Starting at 10.15 am, members of the public can tune in to the Government’s FaceBook page and YouTube channels to watch full coverage of the ceremony. The Convening of the Legislature can also be seen on CITV via OneComm Ch. 2 / WOW Ch. 102 / Digicel 103.

TNN was provided a brief incert of tomorrows Throne Speech initiatives.

A Government spokesperson said: “This year’s Throne Speech expresses a commitment to serving the people.

The Government is committed to leadership and service. The Throne Speech will announce that the Government will work to facilitate more Bermudians entering our uniformed services by implementing a Uniformed Services Cadet Training Programme.

This will provide foundational training for young women and men of school age, preparing them for careers in Bermuda’s uniformed services.
