Around 9:12 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, police attended a reported two vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a motorcar, near the junction of White Sands Road and South Road, Paget.
Reports are, the motorcar was headed east along South Road, when the driver attempted to make a right hand turn onto White Sands Road.
The motorcycle rider at that point attempted to overtake the motorcar, but instead collided with the vehicle.
The motorcycle rider, a 25-year-old male, suffered facial injuries in the collision and was transported by private vehicle to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. His injuries were not considered to be serious. The motorcar driver did not appear to have been injured.
Checks later revealed that the motorcycle was uninsured, unlicensed and the rider had been disqualified from driving all vehicles.
TRIMINGHAM HILL RTC
At approximately 5:09 p.m. also on Thursday, October 9, 2025, police attended another two vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a motorcar near the junction of Trimingham Hill and The Lane, Paget.
It was reported that the motorcycle was travelling in a southerly direction on Trimingham Hill, when the rider attempted to overtake a line of traffic, lost control of the bike and struck a motorcar headed in the opposite direction.
He was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening leg injury. There were no injuries to the motorcar driver.
The motorcycle was seized by police after it was discovered the vehicle’s registration had expired. It is suspected the bike was stolen. The rider was disqualified from riding a motorcycle by reason of age.
The bike riders in these two matters are expected to appear before the courts in due course.
NORTH SHORE ROAD RTC.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, officers attended a single vehicle road traffic collision near the junction of East Point Lane and North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish.
On arrival, officers observed a motorcar blocking both lanes after it had apparently struck a wall, just east of the Aquarium.
The driver was reportedly travelling in a westerly direction when he lost control of the car and collided with the wall.
There were no signs of impairment detected.
The driver suffered a minor injury to his hand but the vehicle was extensively damaged.
