The OBA Continue Rolling Out C6 & C7 Candidates

The One Bermuda Alliance is pleased to announce Joseph Marable as its approved candidate for Constituency 6, Hamilton West.

Joseph is an entrepreneur at heart. With over 40 years’ experience in the sales industry, he has managed or co-owned a number of businesses including Crawl Hill Esso Tiger Market, Panache Boutique, Changes Salon and Johnson Products Co., in Chicago, Illinois.

He was educated in the United States, and studied marketing at Hampton University in Virginia.

Joseph, who is also a professional photographer, is passionate about volunteering and giving back to the community.

“I love to volunteer because it allows me to give back, especially to those most in need. Growing up, I remember my parents always telling me and my siblings, “What you need…we will provide–

a roof over your head, clothing and food in your stomach. What you want…we can’t promise.”

He holds a special place in his heart for Francis Patton Primary School.

“In 2010, the then-principal Garita Coddington approached me with regards to community partnering with the school and invited me to an assembly the school was having. I went and was amazed at what was going on with the school, the synergy the children’s enthusiasm, the teachers, staff and parents is what ultimately encouraged me to assist in whatever way I could.

“Ms Coddington and her team were instrumental with Francis Patton gaining the Stephen Covey Seven Habits Lighthouse recognition. It is the first Caribbean School to be awarded this status. They tracked the data and implemented a curriculum that proved beneficial to the school and the island. I am humbled to continue to be a part of Francis Patton under the current principal Todd Fox.”

Joseph is looking forward to having a positive impact, not just in his community, but in the island as a whole: “People are hurting. We live in a crazy world. It is my hope to continue to do my best to support and be a voice for those who are struggling to make ends meet. If everyone does a little, a lot gets done.”

In his spare time, Joseph loves cooking and baking.
