The Bermuda Public Services Union salute all Nurses!

On behalf of the Bermuda Public Services Union’s General Council, Executive Committee and Secretariat, I take this opportunity to wish all nurses a very happy Nurses’ Week.

Given the ongoing challenges faced as a result of the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s recognition of Nurses’ Week is more poignant than ever.

With unwavering dedication, Bermuda’s nurses play a vital role in keeping our community healthy.  Your Union is in awe at the courage, care, and commitment that our nurses show to their patients and colleagues every day.

For those nurses on the frontline of the Covid battle, we extend a special thank you for your bravery and dedication to your profession and our people.

Despite the overwhelming demands of their roles, many nurses who are members of the Union have found the time in their busy schedules to serve in various capacities within the BPSU.  Throughout the Union’s proud history, nurses have served on the BPSU’s General Council, Executive Committee and Standing Committees. Nurses have also been voted by their peers to represent them at our Delegates’ Conferences. To these nurses, we salute you for your contribution to Bermuda’s labour movement.

Your Union recognises your seemingly unending passion to serve on many fronts, and we are filled with gratitude.

BPSU is proud to represent all of Bermuda’s unionised nurses. As members of the BPSU, nurses can be assured that your Union is deeply committed to continue to effectively advocate on your behalf on all labour-related matters especially during these unprecedently difficult times.  We encourage you to reach out to your Union representatives if you have any concerns.

The BPSU celebrates our nurses well beyond Nurses’ Week.
