Students participating in the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute’s (BUEI) Youth Climate Summit Programme were given a presentation and tour of the Department of Public Transportation’s (DPT) new electric buses.
DPT Acting Operations Manager, Michael DeLeon, and Adrian Dill, Department of Energy highlighted the features of the new bus and talked with the students about the positive impact of the new fleet on the environment. After the tour, students were taken on a short ride to the main bus depot in Hamilton.
BUEI’s Youth Climate Summit programme is a youth-led, action based initiative, with student representation from schools across Bermuda, focused on Conservation, Sustainability and Climate Justice projects.
