Stone Love Anniversary Concert had 3,000-Plus Attendees over Weekend
Jamal Hart helped organize Stone Love’s 50th Anniversary concert over the weekend.
The concert was held at the Shed in Dockyard and, according to Mr. Hart, made history and had over three thousand people in attendance.
“ People came out, danced their butts off and people from all walks of life turned out,” Mr. Hart said. “ This event would not have been nearly as successful without Epic Entertainment’s contribution. The collaboration between Catchafire and Epic Entertainment was a really good business move . . . Bermuda surely turned out [for the afterparty] and had a really good time.”
The group Stone Love, based in Jamaica, last performed in Bermuda in some years ago and were in awe at both the crowd’s reception over the weekend and the world-famous Bermudian hospitality.
They were even featured in the Bermuda Day parade celebrations on Friday.
“ Stone Love came on stage earlier than anticipated and played nonstop for four hours,” Mr. Hart explained.
“ OGS Genesis and Stone Love had an epic clash 35 years ago 1992, at the Warwick bowling alley, which put Genesis on the map and reactivated Stone Love and Weepow in particular.”
