TNN has received a letter from the families of Marco Warren asking the community of Bermuda to remain calm and allower due process to take place.
Below is a full insert of the letter.
On behalf of the Warren, Russell and Bean families we would like to say thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love and support through this very difficult time surrounding the loss of our beloved Marco. These past few months have been challenging, to say the least.
We are grateful that an arrest has been made, but we’re are looking for a conviction. Therefore, we ask that everyone be very mindful of what they say and do. Any misinformation can be detrimental to this case.
Please also refrain from any violent acts in the name of Marco Warren. WE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS! Marco did not stand for violence or disrespect. Like the rest of us, he was taught to lead with love and to represent God in all he did.We have seen videos and pictures with negative messages that are disturbing to us.
While we cannot control people’s actions, we DO NOT condone this type of behavior. We understand that emotions are high and people want answers. We want answers too, but we want the truth. This is not a witch hunt to smear Premier Burt or anyone else, but rather a witch hunt for the truth to convict any people who may involved whomever they may be. Currently the person accused has been charged! Again, please refrain from spreading misleading information or acts of vandalism so we can get to the truth and ultimately a conviction.
Lastly, this situation has been difficult for our family, but it has certainly been hard for the family of the accused as well. We ask that you offer love and support to his family, his children especially, as this is no doubt an awful burden for them to bear indirectly. They are innocent! They are children! Please embrace them with the love of God in your hearts as Marco would have wanted.
