St. George’s Man Denies Assault and Threatening Charges in Magistrates’ Court

A 40-year-old St. George’s man has been granted bail after appearing in Magistrates’ Court to answer two charges involving an alleged assault on a woman.

Odaina Donville, 40, pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting a female complainant and causing her bodily harm.

He also denied a second charge alleging that, at a resident in St. George, he threatened the same woman with injury through spoken words and conduct.

Magistrate Tyrone Chinn bailed Donville to the sum of $3,000 with a surety. As part of his bail conditions, he must report to Hamilton Police Station every Saturday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

He was also ordered to have no contact with the complainant.

Donville is scheduled to return to court in two weeks.
