An 18-year-old man from Warwick appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning, facing charges related to possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Dahny Simons-Outerbridge, was not required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable and will be heard in the Supreme Court.
It is alleged that on November 25, 2024, in Warwick Parish, Simons-Outerbridge was found in possession of a Smith & Wesson handgun. Additionally, he faces a second charge of possessing five rounds of ammunition on the same day.
Due to the seriousness of the charges, Simmons was remanded into custody. The court heard that at the time of his arrest, Simons was already under house arrest for a separate matter—he had been charged earlier this year in connection with a fatal stabbing at Horseshoe Bay on May 24.
Simons-Outerbridge’ next court appearance is scheduled for the Monthly Arraignment Session on January 2, 2025.
