Southampton Man Receives Conditional Discharge for Cocaine Possession

A 36-year-old Southampton man who was charged earlier this year with possession of cocaine has changed his plea and admitted the offense in Magistrates’ Court.

Christopher Henderson appeared before the court yesterday and pleaded guilty to possessing a small quantity of cocaine for personal use. Henderson had previously pleaded not guilty to the charge when he first appeared before the court earlier this year.

Magistrate Craig Attridge sentenced Henderson to an 18-month conditional discharge. As part of the order, Henderson will remain under probation supervision and must attend counseling sessions to address various personal challenges.

Following the sentence, Henderson thanked the court.

He was represented by defense attorney Charles Richardson. Magistrate Craig Attridge presided over the proceedings.
