The court heard that the alleged offence occurred on September 11 in Southampton Parish.
Pacheco pleaded not guilty to the assault charge.
He was also charged with unlawfully depriving the same woman of her personal liberty against her will, also alleged to have occurred on September 11 in Southampton Parish.
Pacheco likewise pleaded not guilty to that charge.
Senior Magistrate Maxsa Anderson presided over today’s proceedings.
Pacheco was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 and was ordered to have no contact with the complainant.
As part of his bail conditions, Pacheco must report to Hamilton Police Station on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. He is also subject to a nightly 10:00 p.m. curfew.
Pacheco is scheduled to return to Magistrates’ Court on September 26, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., before Magistrates’ Court One.
The charges are allegations, and Pacheco is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
