24-year-old, Jomari Gooden, this morning appeared in Magistrate’s court charged with a slew of offences which were alleged to have been committed on Sunday, 23rd September, 2023.
The court heard that on that date Mr. Gooden was found in possession of a firearm, namely a Glock 17, eight rounds of .380 and two rounds of 9mm ammunition, all without having a license.
He was further charged with possession of a bladed article, namely a pocket knife with a blade that exceeded three inches, as well as assaulting a police officer and violently resisting arrest.
The accused was not called upon to plead as the charges were laid indictable.
Senior Magistrate the Wor. Maxanne Anderson remanded Gooden into custody, and is scheduled to appear at the November 1st arraignment session in the Supreme Court, Marc Daniels represented Jamori Gooden and Carringtom Mahoney for the Crown.
