A 55 year old Smith Parish man was charged with three (3) sexual related offences on a child in Magistrates Court yesterday
The man who cannot be named for legal reasons, elected for the case to be heard in Magistrate Court has been charged with (1) Between 27th day of May 2014, and the 8th March 2024, in the Islands of Bermuda unlawfully assaulted a young person
(2) Being in a position of trust or authority towards a young person, for a sexual purpose, touched directly with your hand, the body of the said young person.
(3) knowingly showed offensive material to a child.
The man plead not guilty to all the charges.
Magistrate Aura Cassidy bailed the man to the sum of $10 thousand dollars with a like surety.
The man will be back in court on July 4, 2024 for mention.
