Share Your Voice on Proposed Changes to the 14 Water Street

The Corporation of St. George’s invites all
residents and businesses to attend an important public forum on Thursday, February 15th, 2024
at 6pm to discuss the proposed change of use at 14 Water Street.

An In-Principal planning application has been submitted to convert three existing commercial units into residential dwellings. Citizens have expressed concern toward this application for change of use.

Why Your Voice Matters:

• Constituents’ rights: Converting commercial space to residential space raises unique
considerations regarding access and community impacts.

• Physical changes: The proposal includes additional structures like porches, garbage
storage, walls, and gates, requiring input on potential aesthetic and functional
consequences.

• Shape the future: Your feedback directly influences the planning process and the final
decision on this impactful project.
The Corporation of St. George’s is hosting this event as it has responsibilities to residents,
businesses, and landowners. Further, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it facilitates support for the direction of development in the Town.
