Around 1:25 AM on Monday, 28 July 2025, police and other first responders were dispatched to the scene of a serious two-vehicle collision on Middle Road, near the junction with Evans Bay Road.
Initial reports indicate that a car and a motorcycle, traveling in opposite directions, collided. The motorcycle rider has been transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The three occupants of the car were not reported to be injured.
Traffic in both directions was at a complete standstill for about four hours, while police examined the scene.
