Shortly before 2:00 p.m. today, Friday, 22nd April, 2022, police and other emergency responders were despatched to a reported serious single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, on the South-shore Road near the public entrance to Elbow Beach, Paget.
Upon arrival officers were informed the motorcyclist, nineteen-year-old male was travelling west on the South Shore Road, when he attempted to overtake another vehicle headed in the same direction.
However, he reportedly lost control of the bike and collided with a nearby wall.
The victim was in and out of consciousness. His injuries, which included a broken arm and lacerations about the body.
He was attended to at the scene by EMT’s and subsequently transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment to his injuries, which were not thought to be life threatening.
Traffic was diverted away from the area of the collision while the scene was being processed by Forensics Officers as well as Traffic Collision Investigators. The roadway has since been reopened.
