Around 3:20pm today (Wednesday, 9th June) police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision in Sandys parish.
Details are limited at this time. However, early information suggests that a car and a motorcycle were involved.
It is understood that the rider of the motorcycle has been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of serious injuries.
An update on their condition is anticipated in due course.
Traffic diversions are currently in effect at Lantana Road for motorists travelling into Somerset and at Sound View Road for motorists travelling out of Somerset, while inquiries are conducted at the scene.
