Police and other first responders have been dispatched to a report of a potentially serious road traffic collision on North Shore Road, in the vicinity of Tamarisk Hill, Smith’s.
Initial information suggests that a car and a motorcycle travelling in opposite directions were involved in a collision.
The male motorcycle rider is believed to have sustained a possible head injury and has been transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Out of an abundance of caution, the scene is now being forensically examined.
Traffic diversions are currently in place at Store Hill and Jennings Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
