Word coming to TNN suggesting two senior officers are under investigation for alleged misconduct claims made against them. TNN sought confirmation from the Commissioner of the Bermuda Police Service Darrin Simons, who responded:
” I can confirm that two police officers are currently being investigated following allegations of misconduct made against them.
The officers have not been charged with any offence and remain on duty with some responsibilities varied, pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Bermuda Police Service is guided by a disciplinary process, which determines the nature of what, if any action, is to be taken against an officer against whom any allegation is made.
That process has been activated in this instance and it has been determined that the officers will be allowed to remain on active duty with some restricted responsibilities. Given the sensitive stage of the investigation and continuing lines of inquiry, no further details will be released at this time.”
