Santucci – Ford Given Six-Month Conditional Discharge

This morning, 50-year-old Nakeeba Santucci Ford was sentenced in Magistrate’s Court. Ms. Ford pleaded guilty to uttering threatening and offensive words and gestures to several of her [now] former neighbors in between 2019 and 2020.

Since some of the complainants in this case are minors, their names cannot be published for legal reasons by the press.

Before being sentenced, Ms. Ford’s lawyer Bruce Swan highlighted that Ms. Ford is no longer neighbors with the complainants and in fact lives on the other end of the island now, so any
future threats towards or interactions with the complainants would be greatly reduced.

Despite requesting a one-month conditional discharge, Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo sentenced
Ms. Santucci–Ford to a six-month discharge, and warned her that the discharge would be revoked if she
commits any sort of offense within the next six months.
