The Ministry of Public Works is advising that there will likely be traffic delays on Point Finger Road.
A break in the Corporation of Hamilton’s sewage line has caused sewage to spill onto a significant portion of Point Finger Road, leading to South Road in Paget.
As a result, motorists are advised that Point Finger Road is partially closed, with local access only to residents and those going to the hospital and doctors’ offices.
The hospital can also be accessed via Berry Hill Road. Motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes where possible.
Those commuting home this evening are encouraged to exercise patience. If commuters can find alternative routes, they are urged to do so to avoid delays.
