Products with Controversial Messaging Sold at People’s Pharmacy

Social media has been abuzz today, as products are being sold at People’s Pharmacy in Hamilton, containing controversial and rather unorthodox messages such as “ one super deluxe
pint of Unf*** yourself ” [ soy wax candle], “ Soap for the Walking Dead,” and “I’m a Delicate F****ng Flower” [natural hand cream].

With caution being given regarding the products, their messages are offensive to some customers, but not to others.
TNN went to People’s Pharmacy and received different opinions about the products and whether or not they should be sold at the pharmacy.

One customer regarded the products as a “good laugh and joke,” comparing them to the language heard on Comedy Central and Netflix comedy specials. This customer purchased four canisters of candle wax and plans to give it to friends and family members for Mother’s Day.

Ms. Tamara Richardson, from People’s Pharmacy management, offered this statement to TNN on behalf of the pharmacy:

“ People’s Pharmacy has always sought to serve all people of Bermuda. We do so without prejudice. We sell products across our stores that please some customers while offending others and do our best to ensure products are displayed tastefully. We recognize that different
people have different levels of tolerance and apologize for any offense taken at our selection of products. We will be more mindful in the future.”
