Proclamation Ceremony Scheduled for Sunday on Front Street

The City of Hamilton is advising all motorists of road and carpark closures in the City this weekend due to the Proclamation Ceremony to mark the accession of His Majesty King Charles III, scheduled to take place at the Flagpole on Front Street at 9am on Sunday September 11. This ceremony will be presided over by Her Excellency the Governor, Rena Lalgie.

No. 1 carpark will be closed from 6pm on Saturday September 10 and will reopen following the conclusion of the event which is anticipated to be approximately 11am on Sunday September 11.

There will be road barriers and signage in place as sections of Front Street will be closed to traffic for the ceremony, namely from Queen Street to Court Street, inclusive of Burnaby Street. These road barriers will be lifted immediately following the event.
