Premier Burt express gratitude to staff rectifying this problem

A Government spokesman today confirmed that the Ministry of Finance, in conjunction with Ministry and Department Controllers, would ensure payroll for Public Officers is run for both monthly and weekly paid staff.
“Following meetings with our union partners, we have set out the process which will see most public officers paid at the end of the week as required. As with the previous payroll run, there may be a need for further reconciliations once systems are fully functioning,”
Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt expressed his thanks for the hard work which had been done by all those involved. “This has been a trying week, but the Public Service at all levels has worked exceptionally hard to provide services to the public and in most cases, there has been a quick adaptation of processes.
I wish to thank them and our Union partners who have supported our IT teams as they work to restore our capability in that area as well as extend thanks to our Union partners for their ongoing support in this matter.”
