Police were kept busy over the Bermuda Heroes holiday weekend, responding to a number of incidents, including a road traffic collision and a knife-related arrest.
One of the more serious incidents involved a traffic collision on East Broadway, where a motor car crashed through a wall near the North Roundabout. Fortunately, there were no reports of serious injury.
In another matter, police were alerted to a possible knife incident during the Carnival Monday festivities near Cedar Avenue and Marsh Folly Road. Officers responded swiftly, recovered a knife at the scene, and arrested two individuals in connection with the incident.
Police also arrested a number of persons for drink driving violations and possession of drugs.
Despite these events, police reported no major incidents over the holiday period. They extended their thanks to the public for their cooperation, noting that the Bermuda Heroes Weekend was, on the whole, safe and largely incident-free.
