Police issue parking restriction for Rugby Classic

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) wishes to advise the public, there will be two major events taking place within close proximity of each other in Devonshire Parish over the weekend.

These are the production, Sarafina, being put on at the CedarBridge Academy and the World Rugby Classic which begins tonight at the North Field of the National Sports Centre.

There are also youth football games taking place at the Clyde Best Centre for Excellence (BFA) Field tonight.

This all means parking will be at a premium.

Motorists are encouraged to make use of the parking facilities provided for these events and not use the sidewalks, particularly along Frog Lane.

As a reminder, road sobriety checkpoints will be conducted in all 9 parishes starting this Friday evening, 3rd November through Thursday, 9th November 2023.

BPS officers from the Community Policing Division, Tactical Operations and Roads Policing Unit will operate the checkpoints, which are in addition to general patrol officers enforcing Operation Vega.

Please plan ahead and do your part by not driving or riding impaired. If you are intending to go out and socialise, make sure you have arranged for a designated driver, taxi or another responsible transportation service to get you to your destination safely.
