The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm that the 30-year-old male found unconscious on the roadway just west of the junction of Trinity Church Road and North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, around 3:15 this morning has succumbed to his injuries.
This matter is now being investigated as a suspected hit and run fatal road traffic collision and marks the island’s fifth road traffic fatality for this year.
Residents who may have heard or seen any suspicious activity in the area either before or shortly after the time of the collision, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, are urged to please contact the Investigating Officer, Police Constable, Deforest Evans, on 717-0860 or, via e-mail, devans@bps.bm . You may also call the main police number 295-0011 or, the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477. If you’re more comfortable doing so, please share the information with a police officer you know.
We are also appealing for anyone who resides in the area and has security cameras installed, to please check your devices for any activity between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. today and report anything unsual or suspicious by contacting Constable Evans or using any of the other means provided above.
