Shortly after 9:05am today, Wednesday, 3rd November 2021, a reported serious two vehicle collision occurred on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish, at the entrance to RUBiS Terceira’s North Shore service station.
Early information indicates that a car was being driven east and a motorcycle was being ridden in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided, as the car turned into the service station.
The injured rider, believed to be a 23 year old male, was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
His condition is unknown at this time, but a medical update is anticipated in due course.
Traffic diversions are currently in effect at Loyal Hill, Devonshire and Store Hill, Smith’s parish, while the scene is forensically processed.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses are encouraged to call 211 as soon as possible.
