Police Investigating Commences After Woman Stabbed In The Back

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is today Investigating an incident where a twenty-eight-year-old woman is currently warded at King Edward Hospital, recovering from a knife wound sustained during a fracas in the early hours of Sunday 27th February 2022.

Police were called out to the incident which occurred at the Legends Bar, Somerset Road, Sandys, shortly after 1:00 a.m. on that date.

It is understood the incident followed a verbal altercation which escalated and resulted in the victim having sustained a one-inch stab wound on the left side of her back.

Her injuries were described as serious, but non-life-threatening. Officers located and secured the scene, which was processed by the Forensic Support Unit.

There were several patrons inside the bar at the time of the altercation. Police are urging anyone with information on this matter to please call 211, the main police number 295-0011 or, the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.
