Police investigating a serious single motorcycle collision earlier this morning

Around 3:35 a.m., on Saturday January 31, 2026, Police & Emergency Medical Services personnel were dispatched to a reported single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, near the roundabout at the bottom of Barker’s Hill, North Shore Road Devonshire.

It was reported that a male motorcycle rider was found lying on the roadway. He had sustained serious head injuries.

He was unresponsive and appeared to be having difficulty breathing.

The injured male was attended to at the scene by EMTs before being transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The roadway is currently blocked off to vehicular traffic while the scene is processed. Eastbound traffic is being diverted over Barker’s Hill and onto Middle Road. Westbound traffic is being diverted over Store Hill and on to Middle Road.

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to call 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.
