Around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 11th November, 2022, police and EMTs responded to a serious road traffic collision involving two motorcycles on Hook ‘N’ Ladder Lane at the junction with Long Bay Lane, Sandys.
Indications are a 22-year-old female motorcycle rider was headed south on Long Bay Lane, when a 17-year-old male motorcyclist disobeyed the traffic sign on Hook ‘N’ Ladder Lane at the junction with Long Bay Lane and collided with her vehicle..
Both individuals sustained serious injuries.
The female rider suffered injuries to the head, neck and face. At last check, she was on a general ward receiving treatment for her injuries.
At last check the male rider was warded in the Intensive Care Unit with leg hip and head injuries
Both vehicles were written off.
The scene of the collision was processed by officers from the forensic Support Unit as well as Traffic Collision Investigators.
