The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can now confirm the death of 23-year-old Jahtino Richardson-Martin, Bermuda’s 15th road fatality for 2021.
Mr. Richardson-Martin was seriously hurt when the motorcycle he was riding and a car collided at the entrance of RUBiS Terceira’s North Shore service station shortly after 9:05am Wednesday, 3rd November.
Despite being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, sadly the Pembroke resident later succumbed to his injuries. A BPS Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to help support Mr. Richardson-Martin’s family at this difficult time.
The car driver involved, said to be a 25-year-old Pembroke man, was not hurt.
Once again, if they receive it, members of the public are reminded to delete and not further share a video being circulated on social media showing Wednesday’s fatal collision. The continued sharing of the graphic video is only adding to the distress of the families involved.
The cooperation of those who have already assisted with inquiries is greatly appreciated and the BPS continues to encourage any witnesses that have not yet come forward – or members of the public with relevant information – to call Constable Noah Harvey on 247-1309, 211 or e-mail nharvey@bps.bm at the earliest opportunity.
TNN Management and staff offers sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jahtino Richardson-Martin
