Police Identify Eleventh Road Traffic Fatality Victim as 30-Year-Old Raheem Burgess

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can now confirm the death of 30-year-old Raheem Burgess, Bermuda’s eleventh road fatality of 2023, and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Burgess was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Middle Road in Warwick, near Belmont Hills Drive, around 9:17pm Friday, 28th July 2023.

Despite all lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead later that evening, Friday 28th July 2023, at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

A BPS Family Liaison Officer is providing relevant support to Mr. Burgess’ family.

The investigation continues and any witnesses that have not already come forward are encouraged to contact Constable Gregory White of the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788 or e-mail gwhite@bps.bm.
