Police Confirm Death as Natural Causes

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the death of the 68, year old male, found unresponsive inside his vehicle on the South Shore Road, just west of Watch Hill, Smiths Parish in the early hours of Tuesday 15th November 2022, was not due to a road traffic collision

We can now identify the deceased as Mr. Albert Simons.

Acting Superintendent, Robert Cardwell, of the Tactical Support Division said, “An autopsy has been conducted and we are now able to confirm that Mr. Simons’ passing was not due to any injuries related to the collision.

His sudden death was by way of natural causes. As such, this matter is not considered a road traffic fatality. We once again extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Simons.” 

The current road traffic fatalities for 2022 remains at 8.
