Police Arrested One Man And Issue Lookout For Second Suspect

I would like to provide an update on the shooting which occurred shortly after 5.00 pm on Friday 27th August 2021 at Orange Hole Hill in St David’s.

A 22-year-old young man was shot several times sustaining injuries to his arms and abdomen I can confirm the injuries are not life threatening but he remains in hospital at this time.

One male has already been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in police custody.

We are interested in anyone who was in the area of Southside Road, Tommy Fox Road and Orange Hole Hill between 4.30 pm and 7.00 pm to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.

Anyone driving who may have dash cam footage or a home camera looking onto the street to have a look at what they have and get in touch.

I am appealing for the public’s assistance in locating a second person we wish to speak to called Daquan “Smokey” Williams. Daquan is 25 years old and from the St George’s area.
I must emphasize the public should not approach Daquan but if he is seen call 911 immediately.

Anyone who has any information on Daquan’s whereabouts, they can call 211 or the confidential crime stoppers number on 800 8477.

Anyone in contact with Daquan please encourage him to come to the police station as soon as possible or call me on 717-2286.”
