Around 09:45 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, police received a report that a male armed with a knife had threatened another male in the area of Cottage Hill Road, Hamilton Parish.
Officers responded and acting on information provided, attended a Cottage Hill residence where a 46-year-old male suspect was arrested for making threats as well as committal warrants.
While being transported by patrol car to the Hamilton Police Station, the subject reported having difficulty breathing.
Officers stopped the police vehicle in the vicinity of the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo, North Shore Road, Flatts Village and rendered first aid.
The officers’ actions provided relief to the subject.
EMTs attended the location and transported the suspect to KEMH for further treatment.
