PLP’s response to Noelle Young & BELCO concerns

While the PLP has delivered solutions when Bermudians were feeling the pinch due to 40-year- high global inflation; others, including independents, have offered nothing concrete to the voters.

Bermudians deserve more than empty promises—they deserve actionable plans. For instance,
how would Ms. Young reduce energy costs? It is one thing to express goals, but voters need to
know how they will be accomplished.

The Progressive Labour Party has taken decisive steps to deliver meaningful relief to families and
businesses across the country:

1. In 2022, when fuel costs increased to record levels worldwide, the PLP froze pump prices,
saving families hundreds of dollars.

2. The PLP slashed taxes on power bills by 60% protecting consumers and small businesses
from significant increases in their bills.

3. Bermuda has been recognised globally for the Government’s investment in renewable
energy sources.

Further, the PLP’s Pre-Budget Report outlines additional plans to reduce energy taxes even more, bringing more relief for hardworking Bermudians.

A vote for the PLP in Constituency 14 and across the country ensures that the PLP can continue
cutting taxes for working people, putting more money in their pockets, and building a fairer
Bermuda.
