“The Progressive Labour Party finds it shocking that the daily newspaper has chosen to publish the name of a Member of our Parliamentary Group who was invited to assist the Police with a specific line of inquiry and has not been arrested or charged with any offence.

We believe in the principle that all people are entitled to due process. We further believe that the media has a responsibility to obtain news properly, and not seek to benefit from the proceeds of a usurped process.

Continued incidents of this nature underscore the need for reform and heighted regulation for media entities.”
