PLP C25 Candidate Arianna Hodgson Issues Warning as Christmas Parties Begin

As the holiday season gets into full swing with Christmas parties and festivities kicking off this weekend, I want to take a moment to encourage everyone in our community to celebrate responsibly.

The holiday season is a time for joy, connection, and reflection, and we all have a part to play in ensuring it remains a safe and enjoyable time for all.

I have spoken with the Minister of National Security and the Police Commissioner and am pleased to share that steps are being taken to enhance police patrols in the area as well as an increased presence across our community. These efforts aim to provide reassurance and help deter incidents.

Here are a few ways you can help:

Drink Responsibly: If you choose to consume alcohol, know your limits. Ensure you have a designated driver or a safe way to get home.

Be Considerate: Respect your neighbors and those around you by keeping noise levels reasonable and avoiding disruptive behavior.

Report Unruly Behavior: If you see someone who might be in trouble or witness any anti-social behavior, don’t hesitate to report it to the authorities.

As we come together with family and friends, let’s prioritize respect for one another and look out for those who may be vulnerable. Whether hosting or attending an event, please be mindful of your actions.

Let’s make this season one of unity, responsibility, and community spirit. Together, we can ensure a happy and peaceful holiday season for all.

Stay safe, and I wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas season.
