On his first attempt in the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, JahNhai Perinchief got his Commonwealth Games off to a flying start with a leap of 16.92m, which landed him a Bronze Medal and Bermuda’s second Medal of the Games.
Perinchief landed over 16 meters in all but one attempt on the day, he reached 16.55m on his second attempt, and 16.67m on his third, before leaping 15.76m on his fourth attempt. Perinchief came back to leap 16.75m on his fifth attempt before closing out with a leap of 16.42m on his final attempt.
