The Progressive Labour Party’s beliefs have been confirmed. The OBA, following an investigation by TNN have been forced to admit that they have a secret alliance with the Emperial Group.
The OBA never told Bermuda of this deal and never would have admitted that they were deeply connected with the Emperial Group if they hadn’t been caught.
Let’s be clear -voters who took the Emperial Group at their word and believed they were an independent group, could have woken up with a candidate in the pocket of the OBA and committed to implementing their agenda, including Pathways to Status. Conversely, those thinking they were voting for an OBA candidate
may have woken up with a candidate committed to the Emperial Group.
The OBA must come clean and answer the following questions
1. What other secret arrangements or alliances are they hiding?
2. What promises have been made to other groups in this election masquerading as independents?
3. Is the Emperial Group funded by directly or indirectly by the OBA, members of their Party, OBA supporters or donors?
Bermudians deserve to know who is influencing their candidates and what promises are being made behind closed doors.
The OBA’s attempt to frame this as mere advocacy work is an insult to the intelligence of Bermudians. The fact that a group with such ambitions is tied so closely to their candidate calls into question the integrity of their campaign.
Are they truly representing the interests of the people of Pembroke Central, or the agenda of the Emperial Group and other undisclosed entities?
We urge the voters of Bermuda to hold the OBA accountable and demand full transparency about their relationships with external groups attempting to influence our democratic process.
