NO DEBATE BUT PARTY LEADER DAVID BURT SAYS HE’S READY

Premier the Hon. David Burt released a statement on his disappointment of the cancellation of tonight PLP’s Leadership debate.

“Our party’s executive is made up of volunteers who dedicate countless hours to our party and our cause. They are doing their level best to run a fair and equitable process. I respect this process, the party, the executive and their decisions.

” I want to make it clear that I was ready, willing and able to debate tonight. I did not put any preconditions on my participation and was fully ready to abide by all the party’s rules. I will show up at any forum, gathering or debate the party’s central committee decides because it’s vitally important that delegates hear from us on the issues.”

“I’m disappointed that the delegates and members who made plans to attend tonight are now unable to hear this important conversation.”
