A just released new novel, Gang Violence is by Design: Exposing the lie, reveals Bermuda’s and many of the world’s modern day gangs as having been purposefully created by the colonial system.
According to the book’s author, Pastor Leroy Bean, these mostly urban, vehemently territorial groups have not occurred by accident, but are effective control mechanisms knowingly constructed offshoots of Eurocentric imperialism as a means of controlling specific races, sects and ethnicities within the Commonwealth of Nations.
Within Gang Violence is by design: Exposing the Lie suggest that these illegal associations are said to imitate the capitalist, corporate sector in their manner and structure, having king pins occupying the places of CEOs and presidents, shot callers as board members, along with a bevy of lower membership positions, with varying revenue producing responsibilities from drug dealing, to extortion.
Gang Violence is by Design: Exposing the Lie, with the foreword written by Premier David Burt, indicates there to be inherently corrupt, systematic social tactics so ingrained as to be woven into the social fabric of communities of colour, still being used by the colonial masters of world economies to continue discriminatory policies designed to sustain and extend their global power and influence.
Urban youth, particularly those of colour, are painted as being persons deemed surplus to post-slavery requirements, with the methods used being those that keep many in a state of social unrest and decay, with destructive tendencies, making them unable to form a cohesive, unified front that might be able to effectively challenge the establishment.
In the book Pastor Bean examines the root causes of gang mentality, while also offering up solutions to the ongoing, problematic phenomenon that has given rise to their existence and continued growth, which stands as a severe hindrance to the overall welfare of communities.
