The Department of Corrections remains committed to the safety of all Officers, staff and inmates, and actively works to ensure that every precaution is taken for the wellbeing of those who work and reside in the facilities.
The Department continues to work with the Department of Health and other medical and health professionals to ensure that any coronavirus cases are mitigated in the safest possible way. Additionally, there is an ongoing testing regime and vaccination programme for the inmates.
The Ministry of National Security will continue to listen to all health and safety concerns raised with a view of ensuring that all are protected from the devastating effects of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
