Murder victim identified Police appeal for witnesses

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can now confirm the identity of the male who died after being shot while inside a residence on Spruce Lane, Pembroke, as 40-year-old, JahmelMallory.

Mr. Mallory was found unresponsive inside the residence shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 and was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Acting Detective Superintendent (ADS) Jason Smith said, “Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen two individuals on a dark coloured motorcycle with an old styled storage box, in the area of St. Monica’s Mission, neighbouring Band-room Lane or Spruce Lane, prior to, or shortly after the incident, to please make contact with police as soon as possible.”

“The rider was believed to have been wearing a light-coloured top with writing or symbols on the front, light-coloured trousers and a grey helmet. The passenger wore dark-coloured clothing with a black helmet. They may have fled the scene via St Monica’s Road, made a right turn onto The Glebe Road, and then towards Parsons Road.”

ADS Smith added, “What is particularly worrying to us is that while the call alerting police to this matter was not received until just after 10:00 p.m. on the date in question, investigations have led us to believe the actual shooting had taken place at about 9.36pm that same night. Almost half-an-hour earlier.”
