The Crown is led by Director of Public Prosecutions Cindy Clarke, supported by prosecutors Adley Duncan and Shaunté Simmons-Fox.

According to statements made in court this morning, the victim, Letrae Doeman, was shot ten times following what was described as a chase in the early hours of July 1st, 2022. The incident occurred near the intersection of North Shore Road and the Flats Inlet. Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 1:12 a.m., and Mr. Doeman succumbed to his injuries at approximately 1:55 a.m.

The prosecution has indicated that several witnesses will testify during the course of the trial. The proceedings are expected to last up to eight weeks.
