Minister Weeks Calls for Unity and Cooperation in Recent shooting incident

In response to the shooting incident early this morning that resulted in serious injury to a female resident in Pembroke, Minister of National Security Michael Weeks stated: “We are all deeply concerned about the continued violence in our community.

“Today’s incident is yet another heartbreaking reminder of the urgency with which we must address this issue. We are keeping the victim and her family in our thoughts at this time.

“This pattern of violence cannot be allowed to continue. As the Bermuda Police Service works to investigate this and other incidents, we must take a stand against such acts as a community. We must promote an environment where violence is neither tolerated nor ignored.

“I am calling on all residents, especially those in the South Terrace area, to come forward with any information that could aid the police in their investigation.

“Your input, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial in ensuring justice and preventing further violence.”
