Minister Owen Darrell to Represent Bermuda at Iconic Summit in Miami

The Hon. Owen Darrell, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport, will represent Bermuda this weekend at theIconic Summit in Miami, Florida, hosted by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) in partnership with Royal Caribbean International.

As part of the event, Minister Darrell will participate in a Special Meeting of the Council of Ministers and Commissioners of Tourism, led by CTO Chair, the Hon. Ian Gooding-Edghill, Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Barbados, and hosted by Mr. Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International.

Minister Darrell expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to raise Bermuda’s tourism profile on a regional stage. “We are proud to stand alongside our Caribbean counterparts to promote Bermuda’s tourism profile in our region.

The Iconic Summit provides an opportunity to establish firm connections within the Council of Ministers and Commissioners of Tourism. Through collaboration and innovation, we can position Bermuda as a leading destination for visitors seeking exceptional experiences,” he said.

The Iconic Summit will take place on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, and will close out the CTO’s year of activities.
